Hi diyer here also 1st post gulp 8 i ve lived in my house for 30 years we have always had a 100mm pull cord type extractor fan in the bathroom.

I have taken the cover off and marked in the image below where i think it goes.
Well i then thought the unit must have broken so i went to screwfix and bought replacement fitted it and it still doesn t work.
